oil and acrylic on resin covered polystrene sculpture. Besides the many masters that have inspired the artist, he has been heavily influenced by his interest in Carl Jung and Jungian psychology. In the first two works attached, “The Warrior” and “Primitive Man”, the artist examines some of the artist’s own archetypal images. Both pieces are polystyrene sculptures with acrylic and resin overlay. “When I work with polystyrene I use a hot wire that I have fashioned to sculpt the image. I love the challenge of this method because it is unforgiving and only gives the artist one chance to get it right”.
