Typography and language is a subject to which much thought is given, this is a graphic result of one of those sessions. When working with type I view it as a rich form of expression and is capable of performing tasks beyond the strictures of verbal discussion or description. When placed on a page these typographic marks have form and function, and I attempt to address both of these issues. When working with type I believe it to be important to have a competent grasp of the language being used as well as the willingness to play and think simultaneously. What is not said, or visually apparent in a typographic work, at times is the point of that work, therefore will speak more loudly than the marks on the page. I like to refer to this series of works as 'typoetics'.
