CLICK ON THE PIECE SUCCESSIVELY FOR PROGRESSIVELY LARGER IMAGES. Whilst leaving the National Gallery of Art in Washington I passed under the main portal with its huge classicl columns. Having just been inspired by and exhibition of platinum photographs by Irving Penn, I took a shot in the glare of the noon sun (it was around 105 degrees f at the time). This is a digital re-composition based on that original piece.
