One of a series of cubist conceptual pieces based on the famous portraits of the Duke and Duchess of Urbino commissioned from Piero della Francesca in 1470. All are digital reworkings and recompositions of an original watercolour painted in the early 1980s. I like to conduct such multiple experiments with my earlier traditional works. When this was originally painted the www did not exist for ordinary peoples and the PC was in its infancy.
