"Coastline" is one of my paintings that has almost an Impressionist type feel to it but it is a Expressionist art work through and through. It is painted with oil paints on wood. On the left hand side of the painting in the dark blue (which is difficult to see if the photo) is a man in a boat sitting alone off shore gazing at the lights on the land. It is a painting about loneliness and social exclusion.
