16" x 20" digital offset color print on glossy 60# paper stock, from an edition of 250, signed and titled by the artist, Michael Cartellone (drummer of the rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd).

In Michael's own words - "The BLUE painting - done while I was on the road in 2004 - is a downward view from behind the drum kit. This painting captures my perspective while at work: The drum key, just used to re-tune the abused drum head, the hi-hat pedal showing wear as the traction tape tears on the footboard, and the ever-ready bottle of thirst quencher.

Of note is the half orange, which I use to squeeze the juice onto my hands for a sticky drumstick grip. For pop art sake, the orange has been painted blue (AKA 'blorange')."

THE ROAD SERIES is comprised of five individual paintings - RED, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE and PURPLE. The paintings illustrate a behind-the-scenes glimpse into life on the road with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Michael spent three years working on the five paintings in hotel rooms across the world. He literally painted while on tour, carrying art supplies with him to capture his surroundings. The paintings follow an "All Access" backstage pass on its movement throughout an average touring day, giving the viewer a peek into areas the public never sees.
