It is interesting to me that the idea of Sole to Sole came to me “out of the heavens”. I sat down to draw during a quiet moment and she leaped, nearly fully formed, onto the paper. She is very special, mysterious and enthusiastic. Among the many collectors who own an edition of Sole to Sole, the most common feedback is that she has a way of making people feel good. She is a leap of faith, a vibrant woman elevated on the living pedestal of her vibrant soul mate.
This ceramic sculpture is ready for display and can be shown on its own pedestal, indoors or outdoors, in a garden or on a deck. It is made of high fired stoneware clay and is durable and weather resistant. It is modular and has three sections that pin together including a steel reinforced concrete base.
