Jeanne d'Arc was a personal study for me into the life of joan of Arc. I wantded to convey authentically a still-life that would honor the times and life of Joan of Arc, and and also a reminder of a higher calling we are all called to in our own way. All of the elements in the still life are intended to remind us of the life of the great heroine Joan of Arc.The red banner is a reproduction of a banner that may have been like the one she would have carried. The wheat symbolize her peasant background. The statuette is a small copy of Joan of Arc. The shield reminds us of her unfailing faith. The sword symbolizes her many victories. The flowers are an homage to a martyr's demise.
The print is 16x20. It is a very exclusive run of only 200 prints, and is a closed-edition print, which means when it is sold out, no more prints will be made, and the plates will be destroyed.
