String Theory Series: M-Theory Superstrings was created by brushing acrylics in liquid form onto canvas and by squeezing acrylics from the tube. The idea eventually came to the artist after learning the viewpoints of leading physicists and their insights on string theory. Through Nova's The Elegant Universe much was gleaned about Einstein's quantum theory, vibrational gravity, protons, electromagnetism and the weak and strong nuclear forces. This microscopic theory of gravity is known as the Theory of Everything.
Through this series of paintings artist Edward Longo has managed to capture the expression of those mysterious string forces in a certain spiritual, grandiose, or psychic means - thereby making it seem as if "Everything" could indeed possibly become visible. Visit this artist's websites at www.edwardlongo.com and www.original-art-paintings.com Keywords: art paintings, modern science, theory of relativity, Einstein, black holes, gravity, gravitational, big bang, cosmos, super nova, representatational, techno-art, romanticism, spiritual, impressionism, conceptual, abstract expressionism, interior design, colorful, oil on canvas, stretched canvas.
Artists critique: Choice of color the way its used and the substrate seems, at times, tempting me to want to travel the full depth, from the base to the surface. This dimensional quality, coupled with the emotive aspects, beg me to perform the same sort of physiology with self. There are textures of fragility and some with strength of iron girders, not to mention all that lie between. Because of a strong urge to think this work is looking at me (so the earlier reference to 'mirrior') when looking its kinda like confronting self. Touches many specific places within, has been a journey of multi-polar investigation. Who ever ends up with this is truely a fortunate being. I was also strongly responding to 'Naughty Blond Winking', a sensitive drawing for sure. The frame chosen for it was the bomb…just perfect! Thanx for posting these works, I'm sure when I have more time I'll see others that vibrantly pull at something from within that'll be transfered to sharable word & idea.
