The original mixed media on canvas was inspired by explorations into my past as a child raised in Florence, Alabama/ Muscle Shoals, "The Hit Recording Capital of the World", and the birthplaces of Helen Keller and W.C. Handy. Jim Nabors (Gomer Pyle) went to college at The University of North Alabama in Florence as I also did.
The painting reflects my dream memories of childhood summers spent at our house on the lake and the mysterious beauty of night time there
