'Market Forces': Home primarily to offices of the corporate world, the Empire State Building and one of Americas’ giants of commerce, Macy’s, are two of many iconic structures of NYC. Though the Empire structure has an appearance of being without gravitational forces upon it, the vaporous bubble assists to buoy this mass of concrete and steel. As with the language of any discipline, the language of Wall Street is replete with references to bubbles bursting, ups & downs, but it is the watershed events of 9/11 that have imparted new concepts of down to the iconic structures of Western urban centers.
