Bashful Brown-eyed Virgin: This original oil painting was created during 1970 on gypsom board using stacatto brush strokes. The artist selectively chose brown tones in order to get the intended effect of shyness as well as the young girl's innocence. Although the artist allowed the oils to blend paint thinner was never used. This painting has been framed in an elaborate, recessed opening with the glass fixed into the white 2" x 2" wood frame. The color red along the inside of the frame separats the glass from the actual painting, alowing the proper color to effectively indicate a passionate virgin.
