Blue Eyes. Hand abstract made solid wax build figurine. With the solid body wax figurines I warmed and worked smaller pieces of wax by hand, pressing the wax into the needed shapes; easier to work in the summer and no air conditioning. I would get the basic shape and knead the body part until it had a vague resemblance to the anatomical part. Also used some tools, clay tools and old brush handles, nails, and odd machinist's toolings. The hollow wax figures were done with a double boiler and a slab of marble to throw the liquid wax onto; then --with palette knife or putty knife-- scrape it up and roll it into a shape: hollow. The texture done with a stiff brush dipped in liquid wax. The weight difference is amazing. I use Victory white sculpture wax from Compleat Sculptor. The figuines vary in size from 3-13". The pigmentation on some is in the wax, using powdered this or that crayons or chalks. Or oil paint.
