Perhaps the most intriguing piece from the artists ‘SydneySidersSeries’, this painting was captured in the early morning hours facing the east as the sun rose over the point and crept across the unusually deserted, famed beach. The tranquil scene is contrasted by the artists agitated brush strokes and vivid colours which are enhanced behind many layers of clear varsal coating. The coating gives the acrylic and impasto a three dimensional shine to it, making the painting appear wet.
