Daryl Poulin -

Born and raised in Maine, Daryl Poulin served in the Army from 1968-1970 and then migrated to the Midwest to attend the Art Institute of Chicago. On graduation in 1977, he embarked on a career in advertising.

"I had been painting sporadically since graduating, but wasn’t really producing anything I felt strongly about." An extended trip to Wyoming with time spent on horseback in the high country proved to be a a turning point. Right there he decided to devote his efforts to only one subject, the West, to include the land, the people and the animals. Shortly after that decision, Daryl and his wife moved to the Black Hills of South Dakota and later to their current home in Wyoming.

Daryl’s western paintings are the focus of the book "All The Horses That He’d Rode" published in 2001 by Dageforde Press. Recently his work is featured on the 2002 Wyoming State Map and recent commissions include the Cody Stampede 2002 Poster.
