'Cold War Headstone': Devised, defined and implemented within the great bureaucratic centers of our world in times gone-by, this was a philosophic way of thought and doing as pathway through an era. Unfortunately, there are far to many still pulling the strings of power in our world retaining such a 'times gone-by'' mind set. The people politic of America is such that the mantra most oft heard in the run-up to the 2008 elections is 'we need change'. If as a people, this is a sincere cry than we should burry this puppy and as is typical in these centers of power, build a monument to the cold war (in some way this is such a visual-conceptual proposal), and get on with the 21st century. Not to do so represent risks of untold consequence within society at large. Until then, this may be the largest, most destructive impediment to societal development at the outset of this new century. This is a work using the gable of the Russell Senate Office Building, the sky and plant life in Washington, DC as visual propellent to this idea.
