A cherub holding a bowl of nuts and absorbed in contemplation wanders through a tangled garden. Echoes of a lost arcadia from the art of the past are reinterpreted for today. The cherub in fact is based on a terracotta piece bought from a garden centre, and I only used four colours: ultramarine blue, cadmium red, hansa lemon yellow (colours equidistant on the colour circle) and white, as an experiment in colour harmony.
