Story: I was walking with a friend on a secluded beach when he pointed out the pelicans gliding over the rolling waters. They matched the waves effortlessly, never dipping a wing or wetting a beak. A magnificent in-between life, the empty sky on their backs and the ceaseless sea below them.
This 12" x 36" canvas is influenced by my love of traditional Chinese brush painting done on scrolls. The 1.5" sides are deep and painted black, making this original picture ready to hang without a frame.
