Medium: Original Lithograph (in two sections). This original lithograph from the stone was published in 1964 by Kornfeld for 1 Cent Life, in an edition of 2000 (along with a limited number of signed proofs). This impression is unsigned.
Sheet size 16 1/4 x 22 3/4 inches. There is poetry text (composed by Walasse Ting) on verso, as issued. **Please note: this work was published on two separate sheets which the collector will join together before framing. The inside edges have been trimmed slightly by necessity (in order to separate an adjoining unrelated litho)-- that is the nature of this format.
Provenance: This original Alechinsky lithograph is from the famous "1 Cent Life" book/portfolio, published in 1964 by E. W. Kornfeld, in a limited edition of 2000. The lithography was executed by Maurice Beaudet, of Paris. This is the original vintage 1964 litho, not a later reprint or copy.
