Andy Warhol (1928-1987)
Iconic Artist, filmmaker, music producer, commercial illustrator,
designer, and magazine publisher was born Andrew Warhola in 1928. Andy
Warhol was a founder and major proponent of the Pop Art movement. He
remains one of the most talented and influential artists of the 20th
century. Warhol pioneered the development of the process of
photo-mechanical silkscreen, where enlarged photographic images are
transferred to a silk screen that is then placed on a canvas and inked
from the back creating mass-media images.
