Mark Peterson
HISTORY & BACKGROUND
Mark Peterson was born in Chula Vista, California. He enjoyed spending time drawing and painting throughout his childhood. Mark received a B.F.A. in Studio Art from the University of Minnesota.
His automotive art has been featured on the cover of “Old Cars Weekly” ten times and his images have been featured in “Rod and Custom” magazine twice. He was a guest artist at the St. Ignace, Michigan car show in 1999 and 2000. Mark’s paintings featuring the female form, children, seascapes and landscapes grace many offices and private homes throughout the country.
Peterson works in both acrylic and oil on canvas. His images express the strong emotional and visual impact he derives from his subjects. Mark currently works in his home studio in St. Paul, Minnesota, exhibiting in local galleries, as well as painting commissioned projects.
