Seller Comments... Mary tones her boards in most of her paintings before painting on them. In the acrylic ones she uses many small expressive brushstokes to convey a story. In this one she wanted to express the ruggedness and strength of the man at sea. The strong features shown on his face seem to have a story of themselves.
