JORGE BERLATO My work is often influenced by Afro-Brazilian culture as well as by the work of artists like Picasso and Matisse. My culture is expressed through my art in the varying colours that I use, whether muted or vibrant shades. The influence of colour in my work stems greatly from my Mediterranean heritage and I guess this was learned subconsciously.
