DESCRIPTION: WHISPERS FROM OUR UNIVERSE - METEOR, A MAC Knife Painting - This eighth of 12 paintings from a latest series has been referred to by the artist as being a Divine Intervention of The Gods. The painting was prepared by first using the artist’s established MAC Knife Technique ™ to carve random grooves into the initial 32 x 40 inch foamboard. Then, the painting was completed by creatively brushing acrylic paints over the surface. THE POETRY: Robert Frost (1874-1963): Born on March 26, 1874 in San Francisco, California, Frost was considered a kind of unofficial poet laureate of the US. "I would have written of me on my stone: I had a lover's quarrel with the world," he once said. It was also reported that Frost was born on the day a comet arrived, and died on the day one departed. Whether this was Halley’s comet, or not, has not been established. EL
