Listed as a landscape, or illustration, this painting is very spiritual since the view below, or under, the apple tree could represent the very beginning of life. Perhaps subconsciously, the title was influenced by the romantic song "Don't Sit Under The Apple Tree." Since this work was spiritual in nature the word “Under” could conjure up many other visions, such as a bright new day, or any varied personal interpretations of a new beginning. This acrylic painting, created in 1992 is elegantly framed in wood with the flat canvas under Plexiglass.
