This artwork was painted in pure egg tempera made from natural crushed stone & earth mixed with a bit of water and egg yolk.. Blues come from crushed lapis lazuli, greens from malachite & natural green earth found around Verona Italy. Painter Linda Paul uses fascinating colors which have been "lost" for hundreds of years & new colors which she has discovered in the Rocky Mountains. Her earth ochers come from the ancient mines of France & Italy.

Frame: Comes with 3" high quality hand-crafted, solid wood frame. Frame is hand-painted by the artist in a dark brown with a rust orange underpaint to perfectly compliment the painting.

Artist's Inspiration: I had this idea for an artwork with angels or cherubs in the kitchen. When I did the sketch, the idea transformed from angels in the kitchen to angels in the vineyard. I liked the idea that there are guardian angels of the grapevines and wine making. My vineyard is inspired by my trips though Napa and Sonoma Valley, they are such magical places. I hope my painting invites you to want to sit at the table in this vineyard and enjoy a nice glass of wine.
