This was my first attempt to something abstract and not using pencil. I tend to prefer pencil because of the detail I'm able to create; however, after I finished this piece it made we want to play with pastels more!
STORY BEHIND THE PICTURE
Nature is something I find beautiful, peaceful, intimidating and powerful all at the same time. Put me in a quiet outdoor area with a pretty scene and I'll got lost in it. It's one of the few places where I have no concept of time nor care to. In this picture I wanted to capture that feeling of being lost in something so simple as a tree.
