Plein air painting on a glorious autumn day in New Mexico. How apt for a place called Glorieta! My aim on this delightfully crisp morning was to capture the serene beauty of the pond, the aspen trees, and the distant hills. I used a basic palette of cool and warm colors and used Liquin medium to achieve the transparency I felt I was seeing. The painting is canvas affixed to a masonite panel. All materials are archival and high quality to ensure the greatest permanence.
