About ten years ago Ms Vaskeviciute; took interest in Eastern cultures and was totally struck by the art of calligraphy. Until this day the artist preserved her love for the type font.
Skills in calligraphy can be traced in her works of textiles, ceramics and paintings. After studying Japanese for a while, in these latter years she went deep into Chinese painting techniques, which now are often used in her contemporary works.
According the author her paintings require exceptional accuracy and many hours of studying, therefore it could be compared to meditation.
