Seller Comments... Claude Monet "Waterloo Bridge, Soliel Voilé" proof Medium: etching (after the Claude Monet painting). Etched by French artist Charles Waltner (1846-1925). This is a beautiful and subtle impression in sanguine ink, printed on heavy japan paper, in 1904 for Gazette des Beaux-Arts. Image size: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches (140 x 217mm). Signed in the plate by Monet and Waltner. This impression on japan paper is rare, and is superior to the final published edition. Available at Affordable Art 101 Fine Prints.
