This painting was done en plein air/in studio as part of a series of local landscapes/wildlife, and life in general in Pennsylvania, USA. While I was doing some work in my yard, I accidentally found this nest in the middle part of a large hedge--I found it by getting divebombed by a very irate mother robin, who rightfully felt I was too close to her nursery...upon some careful investigation, this was the "secret" hidden in the hedge...
I utilized a limited palette of only burnt sienna, french ultramarine blue, cadmium yellow, cadmium orange, and white, thinned by a mixture of 1/2 and 1/2 linseed and turpentine to create this painting.
This is NOT a reproduction, but is the original work of art, 14" x 18" (painting is 12" x 16" out of frame), and is professional framed in a traditional walnut wooden frame, ready to hang and will beautify any room or decor!
This painting comes with an EBSQ Certificate of authenticity, and is handsigned. It is also registered/listed on the Fine Art Registry, and bears the official seal on the back of the painting.
