Seller Comments...
Male figurine done in hollow wax build with pigment stirred in to melted wax. Using a soup ladle I splash some on a marble slab and let cool to point of becoming opaque, then scrape up with palette knife and hand-form the figure by shaping the wax into a semblance of human anatomy. The figurines are hollow mostly due to the expense and weight of solid wax figures, and the relative ease of work in this form. It is an on-going process, meaning the figurines may find more detail as I become more proficient at the process[and get more wax]; or not, as the case might be. But I enjoy making them. I am not sure as to their meaning. Try: Life is fragmentary and there are broken and damaged people everywhere… but that's not always it.
