This limited edition lithograph is an original work of art because it is new creation, executed by hand by Alonso. Although a limited edition lithograph may have been inspired by an oil painting
it is not a reproduction but a translation of that work into another medium.

This lithograph was printed by Atelier Ettinger on their 12-ton VOIRIN PRESS,
(built in France over 100 years ago), one of only five in the U.S.A, and it is the same type
press used by Toulouse-Lautrec. Atelier Ettinger is also the exclusive printer and
distributor of Norman Rockwell lithographs.

The edition totals 300 prints with 30 Artist's Proofs, using 100% acid free Arches paper with deckled edges.
At least 12 colors were used with a different hand drawn plate required for each color.

All the plates were destroyed after printing.

ANTHONY M. ALONSO
"The Master of Romantic Realism"

Mr. Anthony M. Alonso (b. 1931) is a well known fine arts painter. A graduate of both The High School of Music & Art in New York City and Pratt Institute of Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Alonso gives credit for his art knowledge to the excellent education he received at both of these fine schools. He received tutelage from art professors who were at the tail end of the school of realism.

Introduced about 25 years ago to the racing world, he now works full time doing fine arts paintings of the famous thoroughbreds, their owners and the environment. This has brought him international acclaim and his paintings are in private and public collections in Australia, France, Germany, Mexico, Monaco, Venezuela, and throughout Canada and the United States. He also has been written up in many fine publications such as The Blood Horse, Spur Magazine, Equine Images, The Daily Racing Form, The Post, The New York News, The Thoroughbred Record, The Artist's Magazine (summer 1998), etc.
