This piece utilizes the basic techinque of the crazy quilt, but with the idea of recreating my imagining of a lost civilation before its final destruction...an abstracted pictorial map of a Pompeii. Not, as we know it to be now but how it might have been before the eruption. Or the viewer could bring his/her own associations as to meaning...
