Very large dish on round rim painted out of blue camaieu
according to an engraving of the Florentin Antonio Tempesta.
The medallion has a scene of very violent and eventful hunting to the lion,
accentuated by a remarkable composition which converges on the bring down character;
The braid of embroideries emphasize the central subject that it surround.
In spite of its density, the marli which present an alternation of motif to head of woman,
lambrequins and of retort head, confers on work a great lightness of a very Eastern connotation.
An earthenware going back to 1700 / 1720, decorated with this scene,
can be admired to the Grobet-Labadié Museum in Marseilles in France.
