The Australian Natives Bedhead is made of two strikingly different backboard veneers - Queensland Black Bean and Silver Ash. These have been biscuit-jointed to give a flowing yet colorful effect to the overall design.
Each flower, leave and stem has been hand-cut from many types of veneers and applied. This technique is known as marquetry. The colors and grains vary from pure whites of the Ghost Gum; to the almost blacks of Wenge and Ebano; and fiery reds of Mahogany, Padouk and RiverGum as well as traversing a range of yellows, browns and greys ... excitingly beautiful !!
