RALF BECK - CULT AND MYTH. The internationally acknowledged artist Ralf Beck - as the portrait painter of the High Society a giant, as satirical draftsman a legend - after a quarter of a century back in his native town Berlin, Germany. As of 1973 along with his artistic work on the way - commuting in between Rome, Paris, London and New York - acquires Beck now a country seat nearby of Berlin and he authorizes the ART AGENCY JANSSON along with the worldwide perception of his professional artistic interests. Who in the international art world on the subject of contemporary portraits speaks, speaks from Ralf Beck. Under the headline MANO DIVINO (DIVINE HAND) swarmed the known Italian art critic Enzo di Mori in light of Beck´s Pastelportraits: "Which Pavarotti is for the opera, Beck is for the portraiture of the present time!" In this specialty Beck is celebrated as century talent and he gets portrait-orders from the European high nobility as well as from international political and industrial important persons. However it remains for Beck all the time an important need, to work as well along with "normal" people. Explained becomes this circumstance prior to everything by way of Beck´s constant search after "that" face. He wants to reach the fusion of the formal artistic ability and of a fascinating physiognomy to an absolute and perfect unit on the linen. Beck says for that purpose: "Each face, each head as a finished portrait must be setting off this ecstatic moment. Namely the recognizing of the soul of the person. This is the sense of my portrait work." - For further information and for portrait orders send an email.
