My monotypes are all unique one-of-a-kind artworks, using archival materials, not multiple pulls. After making the impression, I generally work into the print with watercolor, paint, gouache, pencil, crayon or other materials. Sometimes I use the same imagery in different works in a series, varying colors to show the rhythm of color. I pull back the "skin" of the image, showing the movement and spirit of color within.
