Painting Inspiration:

This is my favourite overnight or travel stop when I'm doing the Mid North West run. Inland from Kalbarri along the Murchison River I have spent many nights mid journey camped by this beautiful fresh water river. So nice to have a wash and a snorkel among the local rainbow fish or to just set up the campfire and play tunes til it fades to glowing coals.

It’s a little difficult to sleep in here since this is a major bird haven and the squawking swamp hens are usually the first to get going before the corellas and pink and greys announce that they will be having their morning drink. Amongst all this going on there is this amazing serenity and it is here that I rekindle my nature connection.

Just a moment of absolute peace while swamp hens squawk and black swans glide under white corellas and pink and greys coming in for their morning drink.
