Painting Inspiration:
Reminiscing back to the hectic drive along the Gold Coast with my Pop the previous day (and he thinks I'm a crazy driver!) to "the biggest swell ever!" on the famous surf coast. A surfers dream, big hollow and consistent.
I took the safe option and perched myself on a the huge Currumbin Rock which was the prime possie to watch the gutsy surf heads take on the massive swells. After my bum had fallen asleep and entirely moulded itself to the detail of the rugged surface, I staggered back to the beach to have a swim and soak up some rays (Slip, slop, slappin' of course). No being one to sit still for too long I took to painting the massive walls of water which would jack up and close out on the beach before transforming into heavy rights peeling off the point.
