This piece of art was created after visualizing the image. I saw a face in a resting or dreaming position with energy/action swirling around it.
It became a self-portrait for lack of model at the time. I find it apparent now that it needed to be a self-portrait for the sake of self-expression.
The painting (and title) represents several things: the intensity of dreams while a body is seemingly at rest, possessing a calm exterior and an internal war, duality, contradictions, hidden power, etc.
