Twelve feet in diameter and 3 feet tall, this dome is the 3rd-story ceiling of a stairwell in a west-side Cleveland home. Incorporating numerous elements personal to the family into the design, the dominant theme is birds and flowers in a pearlescent white field. These panels are traditional cut glass laid into the poplar white-painted dome structure. The owner says she takes her morning coffee on the stairs and just looks up at it to calm herself and prepare herself for her day, reflecting on her family.
