"Earth Mother" AKA "Gaia Geisha"
Acrylic collage, dry pastel, oilsv& India ink on recycled OSB

Earth Mother is a pan-Asian American collage inspired by a combination of the Navajo sun symbol and the Asian lo shu or ba gua.

She wears swirling kimono-esque regalia.

She brings the blessing of SouthWestern energies. Her gift, a citrine pendant that shines with the virtues of trigram K'un.

After manifesting last summer here in Crestone, Earth Mother immediately flew from one wall to another. First, the 2005 Divine Mother's Day exhibition at White Eagle Village, then Shumei International Institute along with radiant entourage. Then to the Crestone Artisans Gallery. Or was it vice versa? Anyway. After a long hibernation at the local radio station headquarters, She has volunteered Her energies once more, now radiating at the Baca/Grande Property Owners Association (aka POA) office.
