This painting was made as a reaction to the shooting of a little boy and his father Mohammed in Isreal back in 2000. The man and his son were trapped in the middle of crossfire between militants and the Isreal forces. He was shot several times why trying to hide from the gunfire, and his little boy was 9 (i think) was eventually shot and killed. The mand held on to his boy as he fadded in and out. He eventually passed out, where Emergency workers came to rescue him (one of the ambulance drivers was shot to death in the rescue). The man Mohammed, lived through the experience. The entire event was captured on Television. I was disturbed for days, and had nightmares of the event. I felt compelled to portray this event in art to have it imortalized as an example of Man's stupidity and stupid rage.
