This series called "Down in Louisiana" documents the steady decline of landmarks and towns in the southeast Louisiana Mississippi river delta region(spanning from Baton Rouge through New Orleans, Louisiana and over to Biloxi, Mississippi). The delta region is known as the 2nd poorest region of the United States (all areas within New Orleans city limits excluded), when at one time it was the most wealthiest region of the United States. I artistically document the landscape of the region because it represents the wear and tear of the people in the area. I capture buildings that once stood as strong commercial structures that now are blighted. This series is mainly black and white, however I do have certain rolls of color photos as well. This series will continue to grow as time goes on so look forward for more in the near future.
