Dampier Archipelago Glass Passage Port Walcott - Dampier Painting Details: 7/5/2004 195 x 30.8 x 3.5 cm Weight 3 kg Cubed Shipping weight 10.29228 kg Painting Code: DAG080504 Invoice Number: 2004033 Oil on fine Belgian linen heavy duty braced pine stretch Painting Inspiration: Arriving in the region in December, a glassy morning heat haze was not an unusual spectrum to enjoy. We upped anchor from Port Walcott on Christmas eve and made our way to get in amongst it through flying foam passage. We anchored precariously at the end of the passage on sunset, after unsuccessfully finding only rock bottom further up the passage. Day Loving those deep teals brimming with Spanish mackerel, providing us with some of the more productive fishing in our passages.
