Manifest of the syncretism contemporary art Bergamo italy, the founders : Angelo Mazzoleni,Marco Ceravolo,Carlo Oberti ,Alfonso Rocchi , Tommaso Cocco 2004.
Official manifesto of the group neosyncretic
Hereby paper, some artists of bergamo, verified the affinity and community of some essential elements in their research, decided to generate a new project of art development named “contemporary syncretism” o “Neosyncretism”, in a cultural- artistic meaning.
The proposed syncretic art from the group founders, with different manner and contents, actually has a common spirit: a reasearch of syntesis, into the same work, of elements of ancient art and culture (primitive, classic, medioeval, renaissance, arab, ethnic, religious, and so on) with contemporary art, or among several significant styles of the modern and contemporary, some times by the sperimental practice , in new forms, of different materials with the traditional ones.
The agreement, with the greatest expression freedom and personal interpretation, to this path of research, answer, in our times of art crisis and globalization, of an inner need to propose a new kind of art, insomuch as “Syncretic” for conscious choise, very different from the trivial contaminations that, obviously, always harboured into the art history.
the proposed “neosyncretic art” , in addition to pursue an expressive-creative level, the new union of different artistic-cultural elements, althought sometimes in opposition, try to place itself in prospective as : a reassemblage, reworking and historical- universal syntesis original research of the better has been said from the great masters of the past and the present in a more universalistic vision.
The syncretic art group set itself as the reference for the possible development of a syncretic art movement and is opened to the contribution of new artists or cultural operators, critics and so on that identify themselves with the themes of the project.
