I combined 4 main elements oil, pastel, colored pencil & mixed media to create this piece. I also used a 3 point perspective rule to create the view.

I had no idea what this painting was going to look like when I started and I had to be very careful when I was making design and material decisions. What took the most time was the blocks that are penciled in and then colored. This took a lot of concentration and planning as well as a unique apparatus that I put together in order to make the lines perfect. The surface was textured and then sanded down to a smooth surface that allowed the pencil and the pastels to really be effective.
