I think that artists turn a corner when it takes longer to prepare the canvas than it takes to actually paint the main subject. The surface of this canvas is as smooth as glass. The paint shines and it is a really good looking piece.

I enjoy creating this style of work very much. I like to see the form come out using darks and lights and my continued work on my heart series is always fun to add to. A good friend of mine told me that I should get a bunch of canvases and put them all on the wall and paint them at the same time. I've done that before and you've seen the works in Gallery 2.

So what's going on that I'm painting stuff like this? I've lived alone now for about a 18 months now and realize I kind of like alone. Actually, I really like it alone. I've tried the girlfriend concept a few times now and think I should just keep painting.
