Seller Comments...
ARTIST AT WORK: This painting has been completed along with a series of other inspirational acrylic paintings during September 1991. During the process of this unusual creation two very relevant things are responsible for its spiritual energy. They are as follows:

ONE - The inspiration for this painting came about after visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art where a special exhibit included a collection of works by John Russell Seurat. His technique called pointillism was used to create his painting called Grande Jatte. So, pointillism, specklepoint, staccato technique, or what this artist calls his Seurat-tat-tat technique, was definately the inspiration behind this painting.

NOTE: THIS PAINTING ALONG WITH 50 OTHERS IS NOW ON EXHIBIT AT THE YORKVILLE CREPERIE ON YORK AVENUE IN NEW YORK CITY. DETAILS OF THE EXHIBITION CAN BE FOUND AT WWW.EDWARDLONGO.COM AND WWW.EDWARDLONGO.US

TWO - Because of it's size, verses the size of his apartment, the initial composition had been laboriously worked on in the middle of his living room floor. Since its inception in 1991 this landscape painting has never been exhibited, with the exception of several online websites.
